Funeral Lunch Ministry
Individuals provide a compassionate and welcoming presence to families and friends of the deceased during a time of loss. Volunteers offer both emotional and practical support by assisting with funeral-related needs, including organizing and facilitating luncheons or gatherings following the service. Responsibilities may include
setting up, serving, and cleaning up.
Time commitment: 2-3 hours as needed.
Homebound Ministry
An extension of Eucharistic Ministers, these volunteers take Communion to parishioners who reside in Senior Centers, are in rehab, or are confined to their homes because of chronic illness, aging, or surgery. A patient or family member should contact the parish office to set up the visit time. Ministers must be trained Eucharistic Ministers.
SUN Behavioral Ministry
A small group of parishioners who lead spiritual discussions on Sundays with adults and adolescents at SUN Behavioral Center in Columbus. Value Compassion, Dignity, and Presence. Orientation with background check and drug testing required. (Provided at SUN Behavioral Center.)
Time commitment: 1.5 hours (9:00-10:30 am) one Sunday a month.
